THE STRUGGLE
We often want God to show us the entire map. Scripture more commonly calls us to trust Him with the path and obey the light we have. Your purpose is not limited to a job title. It includes who you are becoming and how faithfully you love God and neighbor where you already are.
READ THE WORD
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
REFLECT
- What is already clear that I have been postponing?
- Who can I serve faithfully in my present season?
A SIMPLE PRAYER
Lord, direct my path. Keep me from demanding certainty before obedience. Show me the next faithful step and shape my character as I take it. Amen.
