THE STRUGGLE
Financial pressure can produce fear, secrecy, impulsive decisions, and conflict. Biblical stewardship begins with truth: what do I have, what do I owe, what must I provide, and what can wait? Trusting God is not avoiding numbers. Often it means facing them without panic.
READ THE WORD
Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? ... But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want.
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have.
REFLECT
- Am I avoiding the numbers because I am afraid of what they will say?
- What is one wise financial decision I can make today without panic?
A SIMPLE PRAYER
Father, provide what I need and teach me to handle what You have entrusted to me with honesty, patience, and wisdom. Free me from fear and from the pressure to appear richer than I am. Amen.
