When your mind will not slow down
Anxiety & Worry
Bring tomorrow back down to today and place what you cannot control into God’s hands.
BEGIN HERE
Read slowly.
You do not have to solve everything today.
THE STRUGGLE
Worry often asks us to live tomorrow before it arrives. Scripture does not pretend our needs are imaginary; it redirects our attention toward the Father who already knows what we need. The Christian response to anxiety is not denial. It is repeated trust—sometimes minute by minute.
READ THE WORD
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
REFLECT
- What am I trying to control that I cannot actually control?
- What would it look like to give God just the next 24 hours?
A SIMPLE PRAYER
Father, I give You the worries I keep carrying. Help me trust Your care, obey You in what I can do today, and leave tomorrow in Your hands. Amen.
